Appointment reflects the dedication to promoting patient safety and expertise by both BCAM and The Tweakments Guide

The British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM) is delighted to announce the appointment of its first ambassador: renowned aesthetics and beauty journalist, influencer, and founder of The Tweakments Guide, Alice Hart-Davis.

Alice Hart-Davis is an award-winning journalist with over 25 years of experience in reporting on non-surgical cosmetic procedures. Her career has been marked by her commitment to exploring and understanding the latest advancements in the field, often personally trying procedures and products to provide her audience with insightful and honest reviews. Her hands-on approach, combined with extensive research and engagement with leading practitioners, researchers and brands, has made her a trusted voice in the rapidly evolving world of aesthetic medicine.

Over the course of her career, Alice has become acutely aware of the critical importance of the practitioner’s skill in delivering successful treatments. While she has experienced many impressive outcomes, she has also witnessed the pitfalls of poor practice, which has deepened her understanding of the challenges facing the aesthetic medical industry. As such she is delighted to work more closely with bodies such as BCAM that work to uphold professional standards.

Alice’s appointment comes ahead of the BCAM Annual Conference on September 21 where Alice herself will be speaking alongside the BCAM president, Dr Catherine Fairris.

“The board are delighted to have Alice as an ambassador. She is an advocate of patient safety in aesthetics and promotes the medical model of aesthetics. We look forward to working with Alice to champion patient centred, safe and evidence based aesthetic medicine” says Dr Fairris.

BCAM is a registered charity with a membership of around 400 doctors and dentists specialising in aesthetic medicine. It is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards in the industry, with all members meeting stringent criteria, including GMC or GDC registration and extensive experience in aesthetics. BCAM’s commitment to clinical excellence is underscored by its rigorous membership progression pathway and its role as a GMC Designated Body, offering revalidation and appraisal services, among other member benefits.

BCAM’s chief operating officer, Jamie Lennon, says that they "are delighted to have Alice join BCAM as an ambassador, to support us in our mission to promote safe and ethical aesthetic treatments. Alice has a deep understanding of the aesthetic medical specialism, and her values and dedication to patient safety align with those of BCAM.

Together, we can raise the profile of the specialism and be a stronger voice in advocating for high standards, education, and ethical practices in the ever-evolving field of aesthetic medicine.”
