Dr Sophie Shotter qualified as a doctor in 2008 and trained in anaesthetics. She discovered a love for aesthetics in 2012, and has been working in aesthetics full time since 2014. Practicing between Kent and London, Dr Shotter’s clinical passion is for combining great skin with delicate injectable treatments. Dr Shotter is also regularly called upon as a speaker at national and international conferences. Dr Shotter is passionate about patient safety, and as such has been a strong proponent for tighter regulation of the aesthetic sector.

Dr Bhavjit Kaur is a qualified medical practitioner since 1993 with many years’ experience in aesthetic medicine. She is a postgraduate in pathology, MS (biomedical sciences), DRCOG, DFSRH, cosmetic medicine and clinical education.

Dr Kaur is an appointed appraiser and mentor for BCAM members. She has contributed to medical journals as an author and reviewer. Dr Kaur is also frequently invited as a speaker at national and international conferences. As patient safety remains her priority, she focuses on latest advances in all aspects of non-surgical treatments and skincare.

Dr Hassan graduated from the University of Gothenburg (Sweden) and has subsequently completed two Master’s degrees: one in Oral Implantology (distinction) and another in Aesthetic Medicine (distinction). In 2018, he completed his PhD at the University of
Gothenburg.

Dr Hassan is a Clinical Senior Lecturer and Module Lead in Aesthetic Medicine/Oral Surgery at the Blizard Institute (Academic Plastic Surgery Programmes)/Royal London Hospital (Queen Mary University of London) and a Senior Lecturer/Examiner/PhD supervisor in oral implantology at King Juan Carlos University (Madrid, Spain). He has received a Diploma in Oral Implantology and a Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons (England).

In 2019, Dr Hassan was awarded the British Council of Aesthetic Medicine Quality Research Award for his clinical paper on “Injectable platelet rich fibrin (i-PRF) in Aesthetic Medicine”. His research interests include education in aesthetic medicine, regenerative treatments/materials, platelet-rich derivates (PRF/allogenic growth factors), IV sedation and oral implants.

Dr. Matin Ahmadi is an award-winning dentist and aesthetic practitioner based in the UK, recognized for his expertise in non-surgical aesthetic procedures. With over 14 years of experience, he has established himself as a leading cosmetic dentist, specialising in advanced aesthetics such as injectables, laser rejuvenation, and body contouring.

Dr. Ahmadi holds an MSc in Aesthetic Medicine from Northumbria University and a Diploma in Laser & Light from Barcelona University. His commitment to excellence is reflected in his active membership in prestigious organizations, including the British College of Aesthetic Medicine (MBCAM), British Medical Laser Association (BMLA), Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MFDS) and British Society for Research on Ageing (BSRA).

As a global Key Opinion Leader (KOL) and trainer for multiple companies, Dr. Ahmadi serves as the Medical Director of Energy Medical Technologies in the UK. His practice (Acton Dental & Aesthetic Clinic) focuses on advanced injectables, laser rejuvenation, scar treatment, and face and body contouring. By leveraging his extensive knowledge of anatomy and the aging process, he crafts personalised treatment plans that prioritise patient safety, comfort, and the achievement of optimal results.

Dr Catherine Fairris is an Aesthetic Doctor and director of the Wessex Skin Clinic. She joined the BCAM board in 2019, originally overseeing the BCAM academy. Dr Fairris became responsible for education and events in 2020. Since then she has overseen the delivery of the BCAM exam as well as presiding over two virtual conferences whilst also introducing the BCAM virtual coffee mornings and virtual educational events. Dr Fairris has a passion for medical education and evidence based medicine and holds a masters degree in Aesthetic medicine, which she completed with distinction in 2018 as well as a BSc in Pharmacology. 

Dr Nestor is an international speaker and published author in Aesthetic Medicine. Dr Nestor opened The Medical & Cosmetic Centre in Edinburgh’s city centre in 2016. Dr Nestor has also held regular monthly clinics in London
 
He obtained his Medical Degree and Honours Degree in Neuroscience from the University of Edinburgh in 2006. Upon completing his junior doctor years he pursued a surgical career, gaining experience from several surgical specialties predominantly Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery and Plastic Surgery. Alongside this he entered Aesthetic Medicine which became his passion and ambition. Dr Nestor has been an advisory board member for Allergan’s complications group 2015.
 
Dr Nestor holds an MSc in Aesthetic Medicine from Bart’s & Queen Mary University London. He is a an Allergan Medical Institute Faculty member, as well as a KOL for Cutera Technology. Dr Nestor has previously been a KOL for Sinclair Pharma

Dr Deepa completed her medical degree at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2012. She went on to refine her clinical skills at leading hospitals in Oxford and London before transitioning into the field of aesthetic medicine. With extensive experience in surgical specialties, she has developed an expertise in minimally invasive techniques and an in-depth knowledge of facial anatomy.

Dr Deepa is the owner of Sunninghill Clinic in Berkshire and serves as the Associate Medical Director at Dr Leah Cosmetic Skin Clinics in London. Her commitment to evidence-based medicine led her to complete a Masters in Aesthetic Medicine with Distinction, making her one of the few clinicians in the country to achieve this prestigious qualification.

Dedicated to advancing the field, Dr Deepa regularly trains and mentors other medical professionals in safe aesthetic practice. She is also a strong proponent of enhancing industry regulation and ensuring the highest standards of patient safety.

Dr Rebecca Norman is a highly experienced and dedicated medical professional with over 19 years in the healthcare industry, including 10 years specialising in aesthetic medicine. She graduated with honours and Distinction from Southampton Medical School in 2006 and initially specialised in Anaesthetics where she obtained her Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists before embarking on her aesthetic practice. Throughout her career, Dr Rebecca has built a reputation for her meticulous approach to patient care, combining her clinical expertise with a deep commitment to patient safety.

Dr Rebecca is the owner and sole injector at The Shore Skin Clinic in Worthing. The clinic won a local business award in 2018 and was shortlisted in The Aesthetic Awards ‘Best Clinic South England’ category in 2022. Her focus on delivering natural and harmonious results, coupled with her unwavering dedication to safeguarding patient health, makes her a trusted practitioner in the aesthetic community.

Dr Rebecca is also a passionate advocate for ongoing education and best practices within the field, regularly engaging in professional development to stay at the forefront of the evolving aesthetic landscape. Through her work and role with the Board of Trustees, she strives to elevate the standards of aesthetic medicine.
