BCAM works closely with the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) in England and Health Improvement Scotland (HIS) to provide information and clinical data that helps to inform policy and decision making.
BCAM’s Annual Clinical Review is completed by all members and collates details about their clinical activity over the past 12 months, identifying trends and innovations and highlighting any issues that require attention.
The review is published annually to the media and is provided to government departments for reference. The DHSC requests specific questions be added to the review to gather data, and BCAM is also often approached by government representatives to carry our specific research amongst its members.
BCAM also collaborates with the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) on issues including regulation, providing valuable insights into members' clinical activity and experiences.
