BCAM is a registered charity and relies on donations, sponsorship and partnerships with others to pursue its work. BCAM is committed to educating the public about aesthetic medicine and reinforcing the importance of seeking the advice of healthcare professionals for any planned treatments.

Unlike other countries across the world, aesthetic medicine is unregulated in the UK and patients are put at risk by the wide availability of treatments in non-clinical environments carried out by non-healthcare professionals.

BCAM is campaigning for regulation in aesthetic medicine, pressing for injectable fillers to be prescription-only medicine to protect the public. Charitable donations are important to further this work.
