Date: Thursday 29th January

Time: 13:00pm-14:00pm

Director – Acquisition Aesthetics

Dr Lara Watson has a background in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Director of Acquisition Aesthetics, a leading UK aesthetics training academy. With extensive experience in both NHS maxillofacial surgery and private aesthetics practice, Dr Watson specialises in advanced facial anatomy, complication management, and evidence-based injectable training. She is passionate about raising standards within UK aesthetics education and works with regulators, industry providers and awarding bodies to steer the field towards a safer and better landscape for patients and clinicians alike.

Session Overview:

This webinar will explore what many clinicians are not told about aesthetics training in the UK, including the current gaps and problems experienced by learners (and how to avoid them), common misconceptions and the realities of exam and clinical preparedness.

Dr Watson will share practical guidance on how to succeed in the MBCAM examinations, alongside an exclusive preview of a new training opportunity designed specifically for BCAM members who aspire towards obtaining MBCAM certification.

The session will also include a real-world complication case report involving a vascular occlusion requiring maxillofacial admission, highlighting the importance of robust anatomical knowledge, early recognition, and appropriate escalation pathways.
