BCAM launches Regional Events

On Monday 15th July, the British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM) held its first Regional Meeting. The aim of the meeting was to connect with our membership on a more regional level and to deliver education and networking opportunities.

The first meeting was hosted by BCAM Full Member Dr Ahmed El Houssieny at his clinic Bank MediSpa in Hale. With Dr El Houssieny’s help we were able to deliver a live HydraFacial demonstration, a talk on regulation and education with Dr Tamara Griffiths and give an update on BCAM’s current and future projects by Chief Operating Officer Jamie Lennon.

Dr Ahmed El Houssieny says: “I am honoured to have led the first BCAM Regional Event here in the North West. BCAM are strong advocates for raising standards and protecting the public. It was a pleasure to connect with colleagues old and new outside of London and to provide education and networking opportunities.”

The meeting was also an opportunity for doctors and dentists practicing aesthetic medicine who are not currently BCAM members to join us to find out more about the college.

BCAM Chief Operating Officer Jamie Lennon says: “It was a pleasure to be hosted by Dr Ahmed El Houssieny and his team for our first regional event. This gave us an opportunity to bring networking and education directly to our members, and was an excellent opportunity for me to meet some of our current members, along with some prospective new ones, and for them to tell us how BCAM can continue to support them and provide value to their membership. We are very much looking forward to continuing to tour the country and visiting the other regions soon.”

We are now asking for BCAM members to come forward to become regional leaders to help us grow this initiative. We are currently looking to host meetings in the following areas:

North East and Scotland
North West and Yorkshire
West and East Midlands
West and Wales
South West
South East
Northern Ireland and ROI

Any BCAM member who would like to volunteer to support this initiative as a regional lead, are invited to contact helen.calkin@bcam.ac.uk or jamie.lennon@bcam.ac.uk.
