New guidance on buttock augmentation and other body contouring procedures

A message from BCAM President Dr Catherine Fairris

The topic of regulation has been made evermore urgent following the events leading to the tragic death of a member of the public. I want to personally reassure you that the BCAM Trustees are doing everything we can and working with other stakeholders such as the JCCP to pressure the government to continue the consultation on regulation as a matter of urgency.  

As a direct result of our ongoing work I am now able to share a copy of new published guidance on buttock augmentation and other body contouring procedures which is to be enforced by local authority officers which BCAM has been consulted on and is also a signatory of, alongside BAAPS and the Royal College of Surgeons to name just two.

We appreciate you support and we will keep you updated on any developments arising from our work and that of other main stakeholders.
